about

Apache Hi-Fi are proud to present their third Reggaematic Records release with the new EP: 'Dubs From The Vaults,' showcasing the work of their resident selector and producer, Dublaw, who has kept some of these tracks as strictly dubplate for over 6 years.

As a staple part of his live sets, songs like 'No Harm' and 'Revelations' have played key roles in bringing vibes to the dancefloor, maintaining energy and flow as he plays various festivals up and down the UK.

These tracks have helped build a following that has seen Dublaw play at various festivals around the UK, as well as being familiar songs for attendees of Apache Hi-Fi and G.O.D nights over the last few years.

The EP itself brings an variety of different moods that make the listening experience a journey. Starting with a mysterious intro, 'Simon Says' provides a calm sound scape reminiscent of a child like wonder. With spiky percussion and a steppers beat to accompaniment, the track leads on to one of Dublaw's personal favourite productions, 'No Harm,' which features powerful melodies and uplifting vocal samples that bring a different style to his usual production techniques. The track was first made in 2017, and amongst all the tracks in this EP, 'No Harm' was his most treasured.
'Rockers Riddim' was Dublaw's first venture into the Rockers drum beat, using a half time drum beat and a wobble synth in the second drop that will appeal to fans of more modern styles.
'Psalms Riddim' goes back to Dublaw's traditional roots style, first released as part of a dubplate pack in 2017, only a lucky few have the other three dub versions that will never be released.
Finally, 'Revelations' brings the EP to an explosive ending. Named after the last chapter in the Bible, the track depicts the build up towards the end of the world. With Wolf Selectah helping produce the track, the track is meant to conjure up images of meteor showers, earthquakes and angels choirs, as the track portrays a wrath from above.

Over the years, Dublaw has guarded these tracks amongst his most precious dubplates, waiting for the right time to share them with the world. As his following continues to grow, he is thankful to be able to finally share his work.
